Rencore on Tour

Written by Rencore | Mar 16, 2015 10:46:13 PM

If we look back, communities were once classed as small towns and villages where the population was no more than a few hundred. Nowadays, a community is far bigger and can link people together from different parts of the world. However, the premise of community remains the same.

Communities support, encourage, engage in debate, educate and share, and we love to be a part of a fantastic community with SharePoint and Office365. The work we do at Rencore with the SPCAF toolset couldn’t be done without the participation of the SharePoint community. We really value those individuals and groups that either deliver SPCAF to provide best practice or who provide feedback regarding their experiences with SPCAF or from developing for the Microsoft Office ecosystem.

So, we’re really pleased to highlight that we’ll be contributing to the SharePoint community once again by attending a number of events and conferences over the coming months. We wanted to share where we’ll be, when we’ll be there and what you can expect to see.

SharePoint & Office 365 Roadmap to the Cloud. Cologne, Germany, April 17th 2015

As part of the Metalogix Roadshow in 2015, this event will bring together exclusive sessions from sponsors and Microsoft MVPs. One of those MVPs is our Rencore CEO Matthias Einig, who will be kicking off the event by talking about The Evolution of SharePoint. Much has changed in the world of SharePoint over the last few years, with the move to the Cloud playing a prominent part. So if you want to hear about how Office 365 fits into the picture and what the future holds for your organization then this is the event for you.

SharePoint Saturday, Antwerp, Belgium, April 18th 2015

We’ll be in Belgium two days later attending SharePoint Saturday in Antwerp. It’s the fifth time Belgium will be hosting this event and one we’re certainly looking forward to. The conference is for SharePoint administrators, architects, end users, developers and other professionals that work with the Microsoft SharePoint stack. Matthias will be hosting a session – Transforming SharePoint Farm Solutions to the App Model – which is aimed at developers wanting to know more about the new app model, how best to analyze existing farm solutions and how to align your business strategy with Microsoft.

SharePoint Evolutions, London, UK, April 20th – 22nd 2015

The biggest SharePoint Conference on the calendar this the year is sure to be one of the best. The event brings together the best and brightest minds across the Microsoft and SharePoint community and with over 80 speakers and 160 sessions it’s a bit of a beast. We’re proud to say that Rencore will be both sponsoring and speaking at the conference. Our Lead Developer Hugh Wood will be hosting a session on the final day, titled You don’t know JS about SharePoint – SharePoint JavaScript Context best practices for C# developers – it’s certainly one you won’t want to miss! Matthias Einig and Spencer Jennings will also be there, so if you’re a developer, IT Manager, SharePoint enthusiast, BA, Project Manager or a decision maker, it’s definitely worth getting yourselves to London in April. If you want to attend, then make sure to use the 10% discount code rencorevo2015 during your booking!

Our website will have more details on the SharePoint Evolutions conference in the coming weeks, so stay posted!

SPChat with Hugh Wood. Online, May 14th 2015

In addition to the events we’re attending between now and May we’ll also be having our JavaScript lead expert Hugh giving a free SPChat on SharePoint-Community.net. Hugh will be talking about SharePoint JavaScript, Development and Governance, so if you have any questions about using JavaScript in SharePoint, Hugh will be on hand to provide some clarity to this slightly muddied area.

SharePoint & Office 365 Roadmap to the Cloud, Copenhagen, Denmark, May 21st 2015

April is pretty full on for us, so the four weeks between London and Denmark will give the team time to go home, recharge the batteries and get ready for the final three conferences scheduled (so far) before the summer. The penultimate Metalogix Roadshow is at the Microsoft Development Center in Copenhagen. Immerse yourself for another day of learning about Microsoft’s cloud options for SharePoint and Office 365. Matthias will be presenting a keynote, so if you can’t get to Cologne in April we hope to see you in Copenhagen in May where we’ll be discussing The Evolution of SharePoint.

SharePoint Saturday Paris, France, May 30th 2015

For the very first time SharePoint Saturday will be traveling to the French capital. The event is being held at Montparnasse Tower which provides some of the best views that Paris has to offer. We’re excited to be a Gold Sponsor of the event in May and will be offering attendees the chance to win one of our exclusive SPCAF licenses! We’re also part of the brilliant speaker lineup where Matthias will be talking about Transforming SharePoint Farm Solutions to the App Model.

ShareConf, Düsseldorf, Germany June 8th – 11th 2015

Our final conference before the summer takes us to Germany. Aimed at anyone who uses SharePoint and Office 365, the event takes place over four days and is divided into two workshop days on the 8th and 11th and two conference days on the 9th and 10th. There’s 15 Microsoft MVPs lined up to speak and 41 lectures scheduled. We’ll be there on the 10th where Matthias will be speaking about “Code Quality Assurance of SharePoint Solutions and Apps”.

You can find more info here.

The power of community

The chance to speak with and present to our colleagues in the SharePoint community is one of the perks of what we do. Educating users about current topical issues within our world and the SPCAF toolset specifically, is something we really value.

We’ve already started our Rencore on Tour journey by organizing, speaking and attending SharePoint Saturday Stockholm in February with Erwin van Hunen, Office365 MVP. You can read a recap of the event by Matthias here. We also attended and spoke SharePoint Saturday Helsinki and the SP Konferenz in Munich which were both great with interesting sessions and engaged attendees. We’ll be looking back at what happened at those events very shortly, so stay tuned!

It’s been a great journey so far for us at Rencore. The SharePoint Community is always looking to encourage, support and innovate and we look forward to contributing further and (hopefully!) seeing many of you along the way.
