We are already half way through the calendar year and Rencore has grown significantly!
Liam began his career as a trainer of all things computer related but realized that programming, breaking and hacking (ethically) was a lot more fun. Further down the line, he worked within core infrastructure and security services until he found SharePoint. As an eleven-time Microsoft MVP, Liam has authored several training courses on Pluralsight and has been speaking regularly at international Microsoft events. These events include Microsoft Ignite and SharePoint Conference.
So, without further ado, let’s meet Liam and find out how and when he decided to join team Rencore.
I have watched Rencore over the years deliver consistent and solid products that help not just developers, but administrators too. I have also looked at the great team behind them, realizing what a great place it must be to work. I chose Rencore because of the people, culture and the chance to work with great products. I’m hoping to add some enhancements from my own experience too.
I will be joining the Rencore team as Product Owner – Security which means I will help develop Rencore’s offerings to help organizations further understand and mitigate security and compliance risks when creating SharePoint and Office 365 customizations – whether using custom code or out-of-the-box Office 365 functionality.
In my past role at Protiviti, there were three Microsoft MVPs at one point, but we did not get chance to work together as often as I would have liked. Now, I am excited to work with my fellow Microsoft MVP’s who I have known for a long time. Being one of the old-timer MVPs (almost 12 years now), I remember when they each got their MVP award and I respect each of them for their deep technical knowledge and experience. I am looking forward to working with them and learning from them too.
I am excited to come to know the products in more detail, as well as enhancing them from a security perspective. I am also looking forward to working with the existing team to tell the story of how Rencore products can help all organizations that use Office 365 and SharePoint – especially as these [products] are further enhanced with security capabilities.
As a serial guest speaker for Rencore’s monthly Webinars, you will most likely meet me at one in the near future. Furthermore, if you like to meet me face to face, I will be speaking in less than two weeks at the Munich SharePoint Usergroup. Click here to find out more!
I am excited to get to know the rest of the team, as well as become one of the Rencore family. I am also excited about the work that is lined up for me, allowing me to really do some interesting things that bring my two work passions together – Office 365/SharePoint and Security. On a personal note I am also excited about working at home instead of flying around the US each week. It will be nice to spend more time with my family too, especially with my kids now being out of school till August. Lastly, I am also excited about a couple of races I am planning on doing in the next few months, another Ragnar Relay Race and then looking at doing a Spartan Race too. All in all, it will be a fun few months ahead, for both work, family and play.
We at Rencore are thrilled to welcome Liam as a new team member whom I’ve known for many years. It’s truly exciting to have Liam onboard not only for his expertise which complements our business approach towards SharePoint customizations, but equally importantly he’s a fantastic guy who matches our team ethos.
