It’s that time again! Last year, we carried out our very first State of SharePoint and Office 365 Development Survey to discover how IT professionals are working with SharePoint and Office 365. If you keep up with our blog or follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, you may be aware that we opened this year’s survey in September. Aiming for further insight into how individuals and organizations are customizing their SharePoint and Office 365 environments, the 2016 State of SharePoint and Office 365 Development Survey provides us with a fantastic opportunity to see what’s changed over the course of the year.

First off, we’d like to say a big thank you to all those that took the time to contribute to the 2016 survey. We had a brilliant response, with over 1,000 people answering questions about their SharePoint and Office 365 experience and social habits, their development approaches, security measures and how they tackle customizations. From IT professionals and CIOs to developers and architects, participants gave us a detailed insight into the variety of different environments people have in their organizations as well as the external tools they use.
