Copilot Studio
Copilot Studio is Microsoft's low-code platform for building custom AI agents that use Microsoft 365 content, Power Platform connectors and external data sources.
Also known as: Microsoft Copilot Studio
What makers build in it
In Copilot Studio a maker defines what an agent does with instructions and topics, attaches knowledge sources such as SharePoint sites or files, and adds actions, triggers and flows so the agent can act. Agents can be published to Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, websites and other channels.
Copilot Studio runs on Power Platform, so its agents live in environments and are subject to the same data loss prevention policies as apps and flows.
Governance and cost
Because building is low-code, agents appear wherever makers have access. Each one should have an owner, a reviewed set of knowledge sources and a known audience. Copilot Studio usage is billed in capacity or pay-as-you-go credits, so unused or runaway agents also show up as cost.
Where Rencore fits
Rencore inventories Copilot Studio agents, environments, knowledge sources, actions and triggers, together with the costs of your pay-as-you-go plans, so you can see who built what, what each agent reaches and what the plans cost.
