Corona Virus – or Covid-19 – has been spreading quickly in countries all over the world for the last months and has a major impact on families, communities, and companies worldwide. Our hearts go out to all those affected directly or indirectly.
For us at Rencore, the health of our employees and customers is our first priority. Luckily, we were able to react quickly to make sure our entire team can work remotely, and business can continue “as normal as possible” during this crazy time.
What does that mean
As some of you might know, Rencoreconsists of a 50% fully remote-working team, anda team located at ouroffice in Munich.Everyonehas the opportunity to work from home whenever they need to.
Therefore, Rencore is equipped for flexible working and has moved the entire company into home office to keep them safe and to contribute to #flattenthecurve.
Our processes have stayed exactly the same. You can reach our Sales Team, Customer Success Management, as well as our awesome Support Team as usual. We want to assure you that we are – as always – focused on our customers’ success and will continue to make sure you stay in control of your SharePoint and Office 365 environments.
Matthias Einig, Microsoft MVP, and CEO at Rencore
“Ever since we founded Rencore, we knew that the digital workplace would be the center of the company. That way we were able to collaborate with and hire talents from all over the world without them having to move closer to our Munich HQ. We’ve always used Microsoft tools like SharePoint, Teams and Planner to work together and communicate on a daily basis. While we have implemented remote work right from the start, I know that it is quite a challenge for many others to move all employees into home office due to the Corona Virus in such a short amount of time. My advice is to make sure that employees have access to all the information and tools they need. And take it easy at the beginning! Invite your team to coffee calls to help them get used to the remote situation and to make them feel connected.”
It’s all about staying positive and connected right now, which is why we continue our regular “coffee calls” and keep up our Microsoft Teams chats where we share random stuff like our dinners (see pictures below). This has always been important for both the remote and office team members to stay connected. HR, as always, is doing a great job keeping us informed about what is going on at Rencore. It’s business as usual in terms of communication and productivity.
Examples from our Teams Chat “Kitchen Stories” where our team can share their latest creations.
Jennifer Lee, HR Manager at Rencore
“In times like these, it’s more important than ever to keep the team connected, motivated, and also informed. I’m proud that at Rencore, we have the infrastructure in place to make all this easier and a team that is familiar with working remotely. We know that the current situation is not optimal, but we will try everything to make the best out of it and to come out on the other side better and stronger as a team.”
Meetings & Events
At this point, we are trying to relocate meetings online where possible.
Not only did we cancel f2f meetings for the next weeks to come. We are also working closely together with event organizers and monitoring the development of the pandemic in regard to future events that we were planning to attend. We will keep you posted as well, of course!
In terms of online events, we are continuing to ramp up more live webinars. This will give us the opportunity to stay connected with our awesome SharePoint and Office 365 community and continue to offer valuable insights and expert advice. Our webinars are free to attend and fully interactive as always.
In fact, our upcoming webinar could be interesting for some of you, since Microsoft SharePoint and Teams are front and center of the new surge in remote workers. My colleagues Bjoern and Waldek will have a look at the inevitable cloud sprawl of teams and groups, unused accounts for external users, and unknown publicly shared content and will give you hands-on advice on how you can tackle those issues. You can sign up for the webinar here.
We genuinely hope you all stay safe and healthy. We’ll get through this together ❤️
