As Richard Ashcroft once sang, it’s a bittersweet symphony because today we say goodbye to Erwin van Hunen as he leaves his role as Principal Technology Advisor. But the good news is he will be taking on a new role with our good friends Valo.

It’s been truly inspiring to work with Erwin. I can say on behalf of all my colleagues that his passion, commitment, and patience to help others is a testament to him both as a person and a SharePoint guru. Since 2016, Erwin has been the driving force behind our modernization and migration efforts, spearheading our product offering SPTransformator.

Erwin’s continuing work within the PnP initiative developing PowerShell gives him legendary status within the SharePoint community. Its results in Erwin wanting to focus much more on his PnP role as well as on SharePoint development in general. Valo can offer Erwin that role with their own SharePoint Online intranet focus – it’s a logical move for Erwin, who has helped so many move to the cloud.

Erwin’s reminisces on his time at Rencore:

Joining Rencore almost 4 years ago was a smart move. It allowed me to work with the top people in the industry at a company with passionate colleagues. I learned so much during these years, and that is something I will not leave behind. I wish my colleagues at Rencore even more success than what we had in the last years. You guys rock!

And our CEO and co-founder Matthias Einig wishes Erwin all the best for the future:

It’s been an absolute pleasure to have Erwin as part of our team. As someone who shows the level of dedication to the SharePoint community, I thoroughly understand and support his decision to move on at this time. He’s a wizard on both keyboards and I will miss seeing his array of synths in our weekly calls. I look forward to our continued partnership with Valo and catching up with Erwin and the Valo team at future events.

At Rencore, we are continuing to expand our offerings to help organizations stay in control of their collaboration technologies. If you want to catch up with Both Rencore, Valo and Erwin, drop by the merry SharePoint lounge or our booth #46/47 at ESPC on December 11th 2019, in Prague.
