As we approach the last few days of 2023, the year-end energy and the cozy winter evenings has sent us aboard the reminiscing train. Again!
It's the perfect time to reflect on the incredible journey we've shared over this past year. 2023 has been a year of great milestones for Rencore, filled with growth and meaningful connections. Join us as we reminisce about the key highlights that made this year truly exceptional.
Soaring to new heights
One of the major highlights of the year for Rencore has to be the completion of yet another investment round. We received an USD 8 million investment in a funding round led by renowned German investor UVC Partners. Coming only a year after our company raised USD 4 million with Capnamic, we were thrilled to further invest in the growth of our cloud collaboration governance offering.
What else happened in 2023? Glad you asked!
As usual, team Rencore did some exceptional work over the past year. Our team published over 60 blog posts, conducted 11 webinars (both in English and German), attended and set shop at more than 20 conferences across the world, pulled off a successful relaunch of our website and released new product features throughout the year.
A decade of Rencore
2023 has also been a special year for the company, as we celebrated our 10th anniversary in the summer. What better way to celebrate this milestone that to bring our entire team together under one roof? So, we did just that!
With team-building activities and a summer roof party at our headquarter in Munich, it was lovely meeting colleagues – old and new – and celebrate each other.
Recognitions
Shall we say it was raining awards and recognitions this year? All 4 of our Microsoft MVPs got renewed this year, making Director of Partner Management North America Christian Buckley a 12-time MVP, while our CEO and Co-Founder Matthias Einig became a 10-time MVP. Our Chief Technology Officer Erwin van Hunen and Global Director of Partners & Alliances Ragnar Heil got their MVP status renewed for the 9th and 6th time respectively.
It was all smiles at ESPC in Amsterdam this year, as our CEO Matthias Einig was nominated as the top 3 finalists for Inspire Awards under the diversity category at ESPC and Christian Buckley bagged the award for the best podcast.
To add to the list of recognitions, we were mentioned in a Gartner report titled ‘Guidance Framework for Managing External Sharing in Microsoft 365.’
To finish the year strong, we’ve been named "Best Company 2024" by Kununu for the third time in a row!
Team Rencore on the road
2023 saw Rencore being on the road to success – literally and figuratively. Whatever the season, there was a conference Rencore went to. We attended and sponsored events and conferences not just in Europe and The United States, but also in Asia (Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Thailand), the Gulf region (Dubai) and India.
The team wrapped up the conference season with European SharePoint Conference in Amsterdam and finished big, if we might add. If our long-time friends are wondering, we brought along the much popular Pretzel floater.
Team Rencore – bigger and better
Stepping into 2023, we were all of 32 Rencorites. As 2024 draws to a close, we’ve welcomed more team members, who have only made our company culture stronger.
